the senator Randolph Rodrigues, author of the Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) 7/2018, managed to gather the necessary signatures for the agenda to be considered by the Federal Senate again.
Since 2019, PEC 07/2018 was approved in June 2022 by the Constitution and Justice Committee of the Federal Senate and since then there has been no progress.
By virtue of the regiment, the PEC had to be archived. Last Tuesday, February 28, Randolfe convinced the other parliamentarians of the need to unarchive the agenda for voting in plenary.
According to the senator, the PEC presents a unification of norms and criteria for the incorporation of these servants in the context of the extinction of the Union and definitively removes any unequal treatment between public servants of the former territory and other servants of public bodies and entities of the Unity.
PEC 7
The matter aims to settle definitively the pendencies for federal classification of the servants of the former Federal Territory of Amapá, Rondônia and Roraima.
PEC 7/2018 expands the spectrum of beneficiaries that can integrate the expiring framework of the federal public administration, for example, the deadline for verifying the link with the former territories.
Under the current Constitutional Amendment, verification takes place over a period of five years, counting from the date of transformation of territories into states (applies to the states of Amapá and Roraima, within the period from 1988 to 1993).
By PEC 7, the period of verification for some groups of people (who have the status of civil servants or police, civil or military) becomes ten years, counting from the date of transformation of the former territory into a state (until 1998 for Amapá and Roraima; until 1991 for Rondônia).
