Manaus (AM) – On the 25th, starting at 7pm, Millennium Shopping promises to be a destination for fans of the British band Queen. That’s because the shopping center’s food court will be the stage for a special cover by what is considered one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

“It will be a free event aimed at fans of all generations of the band Queen. Those who come to attend will be moved, paying homage to the legendary Freddie Mercury and reliving songs that are still successful today”,

commented Millennium’s marketing coordinator, Elizandra Xavier.

The band that will perform the Queen Cover Special will be Rockaholics and brings a repertoire that includes Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, Under Pressure, Radio Ga Ga, We are the Champions, Love of My Life, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Another One Bites the Dust, Somebody to Love, I Want to Break Free, The Show Must go On, Don’t Stop Me Now, Somebody to Love and more.

With 13 years on the road, the band Rockaholics is already known at nightlife in Manaus. It is made up of Rubem Costa on vocals, Rodrigo Torres on guitar, André Carreira on keyboard and vocals, Marcelo Lima on bass, and Luís Santos on drums.

“Honoring Queen is an honor for all of us, we are fans of all the band’s work and, especially, of the musicians who were all very active in the compositions, extremely talented in their instruments and vocal compositions. Besides, it is one of the most important bands in the history of rock”,

highlighted vocalist Rubem Costa.

For him, expectations for the presentation are the best possible.

“We count on the public that already follows us always and on a new audience. It’s an opportunity to perform for adults, young people and children who don’t know us from nightclubs and other shows”,

declared the Rockaholics member.

Eternalized

The band Queen was born in London, England, in 1971, originally composed of vocalist Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, bassist John Deacon and drummer Roger Taylor. This lineup remained unchanged throughout the group’s original trajectory, which ended with Mercury’s death in 1991 and Deacon’s subsequent retirement in 1997, however, occasionally, May and Taylor reunite with other musicians to continue the group.

Throughout its history, the band has sold more than three hundred million records around the world, being cited as the main influence of several famous bands that emerged from the 80s onwards, with songs that continue to be remembered to this day.
