The PT will carry out research to reposition its image on the national scene, in the new context of the party that commands the federal government.
The results will help subsidize the free TV insertions to which the subtitles will be entitled, at the end of March and beginning of April.
“The Brazilian people have changed since we left the Presidency [em 2016], the working class has changed. Faced with this new scenario, the party needs to reposition itself”, says the PT’s Communications Secretary, Jilmar Tatto. Quantitative and qualitative research will be carried out.
The main change, says the director, is in the nature of employment, now with a mass of informal workers and workers per application.
“At the beginning of the PT, the biggest concern was with the formal contract. Now there is a new reality”, he says.
Another strategic positioning of the PT that should be explored in party propaganda is to position itself as “the voice of the people within the government”. “It’s a coalition government, and within it the PT has to represent the people, the leftist positions, the option for the social”, declares Tatto.
The party’s communication pieces should be in charge of publicist Sidônio Palmeira, who ran Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s presidential campaign.
