Deputy Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) just now defended that President Lula assume command of the government’s political articulation. According to the parliamentarian, one of the damages to the text was the withdrawal of responsibility for the demarcation of lands from the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples. Furthermore, the government should not be able to return the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR) to the Ministry of the Environment.

The deputy leader of the PSD, Ricardo Silva, also admitted difficulties in the negotiations to approve the provisional measure. The Government needs to approve the Provisional Measure, which also created several new ministries, such as those of Culture and Racial Equality, by midnight this Thursday. Non-approval, according to PT Lindbergh, would be a “disaster”.
