PRTB exchanges Kelmon for Pablo Marçal for SP election – 04/10/2024 – Panel

PRTB decided to launch coach Pablo Marçal as a pre-candidate for Mayor of São Paulo. The announcement should be made by next week, says Leonardo Araújo, national president of the party.

Better known as Leonardo Avalanche, he has been at the head of the party since the end of February, after winning the election in the party founded and chaired by Levy Fidelix.

The PRTB has been experiencing an internal dispute between its wings since 2021, the year in which Fidelix died, which even involved the decree of judicial intervention by Alexandre de Moraes, minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), in December last year.

Araújo states that Marçal joined the party before the party window closed, on Saturday (6), and that the pre-campaign will have entrepreneurship, the recovery of values ​​of “serious politics” and social inclusion as its mottos.

Regarding Father Kelmon, who at the beginning of March joined the PRTB and announced his pre-candidacy for mayor, Araújo says that this alliance was created by the previous administration and that the party’s executive in São Paulo later assessed that Marçal would be a more suitable name. for the 2024 election.

Marçal has a law degree and presents himself on social media as an investor and writer — he has 7.6 million followers on Instagram alone.

In May 2022, Marçal launched himself as a pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for the Pros, but his party revoked the registration of the candidacy to support Lula (PT).

He then started to support Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and became a federal deputy, having obtained 243 thousand votes. In October, the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) rejected the candidacy registration.

Marçal became famous in January 2022 for leading an expedition through a mountainous area in São Paulo, 2,420 meters above the sea, as part of his motivational coaching program. After facing rain and strong winds, those involved had to be rescued by the Fire Department.

He was the target of a Federal Police operation in July 2023, on suspicion of electoral crimes.
