What is Prouni?

What are the participation criteria?
To enroll, you must have taken at least one of the last two editions of the Enem, held before the selection process, and have reached at least 450 average points in the grades of the five exam tests. How is the minimum score calculated to participate in the selection process?
This score is calculated by dividing the sum of the five scores obtained in the Enem tests (natural sciences and their technologies; human sciences and their technologies; languages, codes and their technologies; mathematics and their technologies and writing) by five.
Where to register?
Entries for the Prouni selection process will be carried out in a single step, exclusively via the internet, on the Prouni page, from February 28th to 23:59 on March 3rd, Brasília time.

What if the candidate doesn’t have access to a computer to apply?
He can go to any of the higher education institutions participating in Prouni, since they are obliged to offer a place with free internet access to candidates who want to enroll.
Is there a waiting list?
Yes. The waitlist will be unique for each course and shift at each location, regardless of the original option. Candidates must express their interest on the 5th and 6th of April, on the Prouni page. The list will be available for consultation on April 10.
Observation: Candidates who register on the waiting list need to deliver the necessary documentation to the educational institution between April 10th and 19th, in person or via the internet. The institution, in turn, must inform the approved and rejected candidates through SisProuni between April 20 and May 2.
What are the tiebreakers?
In the case of identical scores in the arithmetic mean of the Enem scores, the tiebreaker between candidates will be determined according to the following order of criteria:
- Higher grade in the writing test;
- Highest score in the test of languages, codes and their technologies;
- Higher grade in the math test and its technologies;
- Higher grade in the natural sciences and technologies test; It is
- Higher score in the human sciences and its technologies test.
What if the candidate secures the 50% discount scholarship and is unable to pay the other 50%?
In this case, the partial scholarship holder can use the Fies (Student Financing Fund) to cover the other half of the amount. Yes, as long as you meet the program criteria. Students are prohibited from using the Prouni scholarship and simultaneously being enrolled in a free public higher education institution via Sisu (Unified Selection System). Therefore, whoever is selected by both must choose one of them.
