The deadline to participate is next Thursday, February 1st. 📈What is Prouni and how many scholarships will be offered? Through the selection process, low-income students can apply for 406,428 scholarships at private higher education institutions. Of these, 308,977 are full (cover 100% of the monthly fee) and 97,451 are partial (give 50% free). Ranking of courses with the most registrations Below, see which degrees received the most registrations on the first day of the selection process, according to the MEC: 🥇medicine: 83,830 registrations; 🥈law: 57,440 registrations; 🥉psychology: 44,253 registrations; 🎖️nursing: 39,844 registrations; 🎖️physiotherapy: 22,030 registrations. 📝 How to register? To register, you must enter Single Access (acessounico.mec.gov.br/prouni), using the gov.br login with CPF and password. The candidate must indicate, in order of preference, up to two course options (selecting the educational institution and shift). Then, you need to select whether you want to participate in the broad competition or quota mode. Finally, the student needs to monitor the partial grade for those courses every day. If you want, you can change your choices (the last option selected before the end of the registration period will be valid). If the candidate is within the cut-off score and obtains one of the vacancies at the end of the registration period, he or she will be listed as pre-selected. 📚 Who can sign up? To participate, the candidate must have taken the National High School Exam (Enem) 2022 or 2023, have obtained a minimum average of 450 points in the areas of knowledge and a grade above zero in the essay. There are also the following income criteria: 💰Full scholarships (cover 100% of the monthly fee): the student must have a gross monthly per capita family income of up to 1.5 minimum wage (R$ 1,412 x 1.5 = R$ 2,118 per person, in 2024 values). 💰Partial scholarships (cover 50% of the monthly fee): the limit of gross monthly family income per capita is 3 minimum wages (R$ 1,412 x 3 = R$ 4,236 per person, in 2024). In addition, you must meet at least one of the points below: Have completed high school in a public or private school, without a higher education diploma; or Be a person with a disability, as provided for in the legislation, also without having completed a degree; or Exercise the role of teacher in the public education network (exclusively for those seeking teaching and pedagogy courses, aimed at training basic education teachers). 📅 ProUni 2024 Dates Registration: from January 29th to February 1st Result of the first call: February 6th Result of the second call: February 27th Expression of interest on the waiting list: March 14th and 15th Waiting list result: March 18 🧑‍🏫What does it mean to be ‘shortlisted’? The pre-selected candidate does not yet “own” the position. It is reserved for him, but, before taking it on, it is necessary to complete the final selection steps. You will still need to prove the information provided at the time of registration (such as per capita family income and certificate of course completion at a public school, for example). This is done at the educational institution where the student will study within the period indicated in the notice. If there is no class formation, the student will lose their place. You can try to participate in the second call and the waiting list (if you are interested). 🧮What are the tiebreaker criteria? Higher grade in the human sciences and its technologies test Higher grade in the natural sciences and its technologies test Higher grade in the mathematics and its technologies test Higher grade in the languages, codes and their technologies test Higher grade in the writing test In the case of identical grades in the arithmetic average of the Enem grades, the tiebreaker between the candidates will be determined according to the following order of criteria: Candidates who took the Enem 2022 or 2023 and obtained a minimum average of 450 points in the areas of knowledge and grade above zero in the essay. In addition to the income criteria explained above, you must meet at least one of the points below: 👉🏾 How to calculate gross monthly family income per person? To find out if the student meets the income criteria, they must add up the salaries of everyone who lives with them and then divide by the number of members of the group. For example: father (R$2,300 per month), mother (R$1,700 per month), Prouni candidate (no income) and younger brother (no income). Adding the amounts together, we arrive at a monthly total of R$4,000. Then, dividing by the 4 family members, the result is R$1,000. This is the value that should be taken as a reference by Prouni. As it is below 1.5 minimum wages per capita (R$2,118), the candidate will be able to apply for a full scholarship. 🧾 Is it possible to use Prouni and Fies at the same time? And Prouni and Sisu? Fies and Prouni: Yes. If the candidate obtains the partial Prouni scholarship, which covers only 50% of the monthly fee, he or she can finance the other half through the Student Financing Fund (Fies). Sisu and Prouni: No. The student can enroll in both programs, but will only need to choose one when enrolling. Remembering that the Unified Selection System (Sisu) offers places in public educational institutions, and Prouni, in private ones.
