Progressions published by City Hall benefit more than 300 education employees in Manaus

Manaus (AM) – Manaus City Hall published 673 acts of functional progression, benefiting 303 employees working at the Municipal Department of Education (Semed), in the Official Gazette of the Municipality (DOM), this Thursday (28). Result of the “Education Servants Valorization Program”, the act is in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Positions, Careers and Remuneration Plan (PCCR).

Of the published developments, 288 employees are from the teaching area and 15 from the administrative area. Since the beginning of Mayor David Almeida’s administration, in 2021, approximately 3,500 progressions have been published with an investment of R$104 million.

The new progressions will be added to the network’s payroll, as each process progresses. This year alone, 967 employees have already been covered.

The municipal secretary of Education, professor Dulce Almeida, spoke about the current administration’s concern with valuing education professionals.

“This is very serious work carried out by Mayor David Almeida and the Semed team. The employee’s benefit is incorporated into his working life, which will be used for retirement. I have come across teachers who are in retirement, but do not retire due to lack of progression. We are putting an end to this, and this civil servant who contributed so much to education will be able to retire, with a decent salary and that is a reason for happiness for all of us. 2024 will be no different, we will continue carrying out these processes”, concluded Dulce Almeida.
