The president of the MDB municipal directory in São Paulo, Enrico Misasi, reacted to criticism from the national president of the PSDB, Marconi Perillo, regarding the departure of councilors from the party and said that the management of mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB-SP) also represents , “the continuity of the project designed by the PSDB for SP”.
Perillo told the Panel that the departure of the party’s eight councilors in SP is a consequence of “cheap physiologism” and that the party wants on its side “politicians concerned with public policies and not with positions”, in reference to the councilors’ support for Nunes .
Misasi says that the MDB directory “is not interested in a divided PSDB, a weakened partner and in doubt about its vocation”.
“We hope that common sense prevails, that São Paulo’s tucanos remain united around our pre-candidacy, for the re-election of Nunes, and that they recognize in this alliance an opportunity to rebuild the party”, he states.
