President of Enel de SP wins injunction and may remain silent during CPI – 11/13/2023 – Panel
[ad_1]
President of Enel Distribuição SP, Max Xavier Lins obtained an injunction from the São Paulo Court that determines that he be treated as an investigator, and not as a witness at the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) of Enel at Alesp (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo) .
The testimony is scheduled to take place between Tuesday (14) and Thursday (16).
Lins asked the court to be exempted from responding to facts that imply self-incrimination, which was accepted by judge Carlos Xavier de Aquino.
Lins had already been invited before to appear at the CPI, installed in May this year. However, with the company’s difficulty in remedying the power outage in thousands of homes until last week, he was summoned.
Nicola Cotugno, president of Enel in Brazil, was also summoned.
