The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), said this Wednesday (1) that he and President Lula (PT) are now partners. The declaration took place during his participation in an event promoted by XP Agro in the capital of São Paulo, when Tarcísio explained how his relationship with the federal government will be.

“When people say: Tarcísio, what will be his relationship with the federal government? Simple, he is a republican and I, now, am a partner of the federal government, because there is no such thing as Brazil doing badly and São Paulo doing well or Brazil thinking that goes well with São Paulo doing poorly. For Brazil to do well, São Paulo has to do well, and for São Paulo to do well, Brazil has to do well. So, me and the federal government now, São Paulo and the federal government , me and president Lula, now, we are partners”, declared the governor.

Tarcísio also stated that, despite having completely opposite views of Lula, he does not hope for the country to go wrong. “I’m from a different political field than the current president, so we think absolutely differently, I think that above all, I’m from the other side, I’m from another field, I’m a liberal guy, but I don’t root for Brazil to go wrong”, he said. .
