President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) completes one hundred days in office this Monday (10). An event should mark the symbolic date, with an assessment of the beginning of management and the possible announcement of new projects.

If the brand usually represents a period in which governments have a truce from public opinion, Lula lived through serial crises in his third term, dealing with the coup attacks on January 8, cutting corners with the military and accumulating uncertainties in his relationship with Congress.

After rescuing several programs that were hallmarks of the PT’s management —such as Bolsa Família, Mais Médicos and Minha Casa, Minha Vida—, Lula now says that he intends to look ahead, focusing on stimulating the economy. On the eve of submitting the new fiscal framework to Parliament, the president is still traveling to China this week, as part of his diplomacy rescue plan.
