Podcast Américas takes a dive into Milei’s victory – 11/26/2023 – Novo em Folha

This week’s Podcast Américas examines Javier Milei’s victory in Argentina in several dimensions, from the changes in Argentina’s internal political board to the complicated first days of choosing ministers and the search for harmony with international politics.

From the beginning, there has been a diplomatic problem with Brazil and China, which has been managed by the likely future chancellor, Diana Mondino, and other diplomatic officials from both countries.

The podcast also analyzes the real possibility of implementing the reforms promised by Milei, such as dollarization and the closure of the Central Bank in the face of a minority scenario in Congress.

What will be the role of Mauricio Macri? What will be the influence of what, until the other day, Milei called “caste”, but which now seems necessary to configure his cabinet?

These and other questions related to what will be the transition between Alberto Fernández’s government and Milei’s government are discussed in this special episode dedicated to the subject.
