PGR was against PF action at Bolsonaro and Michelle’s house

The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) opined against carrying out a search and seizure at the home of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro.
“The elements of information incorporated into the file do not serve as minimally consistent evidence to link the former President of the Republic Jair Messias Bolsonaro and his wife, Michelle de Paula Firmo Reinaldo Bolsonaro, to the alleged illicit facts described in the representation of the Federal Police, either as co-authors or as participants”, said the PGR.
Rapporteur of the case at the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Minister Alexandre de Moraes partially agreed. He stated that the search against Bolsonaro would be “essential”, given the “exposed and notorious public position of the former representative against vaccination”.
With regard to Michelle, understood the magistrate, the federal agents did not demonstrate the legal requirements necessary to justify the action.
The Attorney General’s Office stated that what is extracted from the case file, contrary to what the PF pointed out, is that the assistant Mauro Cid “would have masterminded and led the entire criminal action, in absentia, without the knowledge and without the consent” of the former president.
“There is no minimum evidence to support the involvement of former President of the Republic Jair Messias Bolsonaro with the enforceable acts of inserting false data referring to vaccination in the Ministry of Health systems and with the possible use of ideologically false documents”, stated the Attorney General of the Republic, commanded by Augusto Aras.
The understanding of the Prosecutor’s Office was refuted by Supreme Minister Alexandre de Moraes, for whom such a position does not “demonstrate credible” at the current stage of the criminal investigation.
