This content is about a fact that is still being investigated by the newsroom. Soon we will have more information.
The Federal Police is carrying out warrants against the leadership of the Military Police of the Federal District for its role in containing the protests of January 8, which led to the invasion and destruction of the headquarters of the Three Powers.
According to the first information, the targets are former directors who would have collaborated or not prevented the invasions of public buildings, according to the CNN Brazil.
Seven arrest warrants and five search and seizure warrants are served. Among those arrested are the general commander of the PM-DF, Klepter Rosa Gonçalves; the former commander of the corporation, Colonel Fábio Augusto Vieira; former operations commander (DOP), Jorge Eduardo Naime Barreto; the former interim head of the DOP, Paulo Ferreira de Souza Bezerra; and Marcelo Casimiro Rodrigues, former commander of the 1st Regional Policing Command, according to an investigation by GloboNews.
The investigation also points out that the warrants were authorized by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and that it was discovered that the PM-DF commanders exchanged anti-democratic messages for seven months, spread supposedly false information about the second round of elections, and alleged failure to contain the protests.
There are also indications that the corporation would have infiltrated agents among the demonstrators who were camped in front of the Army Headquarters.
More Informations soon.
