Petrobras hopes to reverse removal next week – 04/12/2024 – Panel
[ad_1]
Servants close to the management of Petrobras say they are confident that the decision of the São Paulo Court that removed the president of the board of the state-owned company, Pietro Mendes, will be overturned by next week.
One of the arguments to be presented is that the president of the Council was never chosen from a triple list.
This was one of the justifications accepted by judge Paulo Cezar Neves Junior, of the 21st Federal Civil Court of São Paulo, in the action filed by state deputy Leonardo Siqueira (Novo-SP).
Furthermore, a survey by the Petrobras Governance Secretariat states that in almost a year there has been no case of conflict of interest that would impede the role of the Chairman of the Board.
There is an assessment by the state-owned company that the decision is considered a political decision, and should therefore be reviewed soon.
