People from Amapa travel to compete in the Copa Brasil – Ana Marcelinha Trophy, from Águas Abertas, in Mosqueiro (PA) – News of Brazil

On the 8th and 9th of July, Praia do Farol, in Mosqueiro (PA), will host the 10th edition of the Copa Brasil – Ana Marcelinha Trophy, from Águas Abertas. The event, which takes place for the first time in Pará, will have races of up to 5 km, for adults and children.
Among the more than 200 Brazilian and foreign athletes expected for the event, 13 from Amapa, from the Amapá Natação team, will be present in all events: 1.5km, 2.5km, 5km, 250m and 500m.
The event will be organized by the Paraense Federation of Water Sports (FPDA), together with the Brazilian Confederation of Water Sports (CBDA). Mosqueiro Island was chosen because it offers competitors, in addition to the natural beauties of the Amazon, features such as swimming in fresh water with strong waves.
