Parisians lose enthusiasm for the Olympic Games, according to research – News of Brazil
Event will be played between July 26th and August 11th, 2024
Almost one in two Parisians believes that hosting the 2024 Olympic Games is a “bad thing”, with transport and security being their biggest concerns, indicates a survey carried out eight months before the event.
Some 44% of residents in the Paris region expressed a negative opinion, while 65% of French residents said that hosting the Olympic Games in Paris from July 26 to August 11 was a “good thing,” according to the Paris survey. Odoxa for Winamax and RTL.
1,207 residents of the Paris region and 1,005 residents of France responded to the survey.
Two years ago, just 22% of Parisians had a negative opinion about the Paris Olympic Games, while now more than half of them are considering leaving the region during the event.
On the other hand, 64% of Parisians are confident that the opening ceremony on the River Seine will be a success.
