Last week, a Timão team was ambushed by rival fans in São Paulo

Involvement in fights by members of organized supporters, from now on, will no longer be accepted and will be subject to punishment. The decision was released through a statement issued by the main organized supporters of Palmeiras, Mancha Verde, on social networks on Wednesday (15).

The decision was taken after a meeting on Tuesday night (14), which involved other neighborhood leaders and subsectors. According to Mancha, the same determination was passed on to members of other groups.

The organized alviverde also completes the message by saying that “its essence is to support Verdão in the stadiums, with memorable parties”. The statement was published one day before the derby against Corinthians, scheduled for 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Neo Química Arena, for the ninth round of the Paulista Championship.

It should be noted that, last week, a Timão team was ambushed by rival fans in São Paulo. Two fans remain in serious condition in hospital.

Young fans also take a stand

Torcida Jovem, the main organized club in Santos, also took a stand. The organization stated that, as of this Wednesday, “any act of violence against any organized supporters in the State of São Paulo is prohibited”.

If any member does not comply with the determination, he will be held responsible “within and outside the bylaws”.

Hours before Corinthians and Palmeiras face each other in Itaquera, Santos visits Santo André, for the ninth round of Paulistão. Bruno José Daniel Stadium is around 23 km from Arena Corinthians. Peixe faces Ramalhão at 7:30 pm.

See, in full, the notes released by Mancha Verde and Torcida Jovem:

Green Spot: “Manchista family, in a meeting held on the night of this Tuesday, 02/14/2023, with leaders from the neighborhood and subseats, the board of Mancha Alvi Verde reached the following resolution:

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THE INVOLVEMENT OF OUR ASSOCIATES IN FIGHTS OR ANY ACTS OF VIOLENCE.

Yes, Mancha was born to restore respect for Palmeiras fans, and that goal was achieved a long time ago. Our essence is to cheer and support Verdão in the stadiums, and what we can guarantee is that we will continue to be the school in the stands, with memorable parties.

Repeating the message: we will not tolerate the participation of any of our associates in fights or acts of violence, under penalty of punishment.

Neighborhood and branch leaders have already received guidance to pass on this determination to all their members.

The message is given!”

Young crowd: “The Board of Fans of Young Santos, comes to inform all members that as of today any act of violence against any fan organized in the State of São Paulo is prohibited.

The associate who does not comply with the determination will be held liable within and outside the bylaws.”
