Nunes studies reaching Bolsonaro’s act with Tarcísio – 02/15/2024 – Panel

Amid the dilemma about whether or not to participate in the event called by former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), the mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), is considering arriving accompanied by Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos-SP).

Nunes told people close to her that the tendency today is to participate in the act, even if she hasn’t dropped the hammer.

The emedebista fears that Bolsonaro will see any absence as betrayal, withdraw support for his re-election and launch a competitor who could harm him.

Allies trying to dissuade the mayor claim that his presence could tighten the link between Nunes’ image and that of the former president, complicating the strategy of distanced support that the mayor is trying to establish.
