New Year’s Eve in Largo: Fire Department carries out final inspection of the structure set up for the show

There will be more than seven minutes of fireworks, marking the arrival of 2024
The Amazonas Military Fire Department (CBMAM) carried out, in the early afternoon of this Sunday (31), the final inspection of the structure set up for the fireworks display, which will mark the beginning of 2024 on New Year’s Eve in Largo. In total, there will be more than seven minutes of pyrotechnic shows at three strategic points, providing a spectacle of different colors in the sky.
The general commander of CBMAM, Colonel Orleilso Ximenes Muniz, accompanied, together with agents from the corporation’s Technical Activities Directorate (DAT), all the work of the company responsible for the fireworks display, to ensure that all the technical parameters provided for in the legislation governing the holding of pyrotechnic shows at events.
“Today we were inspecting all the fireworks display points. I highlight that there will be no bomb projection, only visual and sound effects. All three points were inspected by the Fire Department and are in accordance with technical safety parameters, being positioned in appropriate locations”, pointed out the general commander of CBMAM.
Pyrotechnic show
From the countdown to 2024, there will be seven minutes and thirty seconds of fireworks, strategically positioned at three bases, namely at Teatro Amazonas, Palácio da Justiça and Rádio Rio Mar.
Operation New Year’s Eve
On New Year’s Eve, the Fire Department will work with more than 200 soldiers in prevention actions throughout the capital. On New Year’s Eve in Largo alone, 85 firefighters will be positioned at strategic points throughout the perimeter of the event, with firefighting and rescue vehicles and the corporation’s ambulances also being used on site.
