Luísa Sonza, Péricles, Ney Matogrosso and Roberto Carlos are among the attractions at this year’s New Year’s Eve in Fortaleza. The announcement was made by the mayor of the capital of Ceará, José Sarto (PDT), this Tuesday (24), at an event held at Tivoli Mofarrej, in the capital of São Paulo.
The city will also host shows by Paty Girl, Xand Avião, João Gomes, Marisa Monte, Alok, Marina Sena, Mari Fernandez and Titãs.
With a three-day festival, the city hall plans to receive more than 600,000 tourists and raise more than R$3 billion from tourism in the region between December 15th and January 15th. The goal is to surpass 2023, when the capital had two days of celebration and welcomed around 550,000 people between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
According to data from the Fortaleza Tourism Observatory, in 2023 the period generated R$3.4 billion for the economy and more than 186 thousand formal and informal job vacancies between December 15, 2022 and January 15, 2023 .
Also present at the event were the secretaries of government, Culture, Tourism, Economic Development, as well as the coordinator of Fortaleza’s Political Articulation. Among the guests were representatives of the tourism sector, businesspeople, investors and artists.
According to the city hall, the fees for the attractions will be covered by partnerships and sponsors.
