The municipality of Tartarugalzinho filed a petition in court against the company CEA Equatorial stating that it complied with all the technical conditions for the installation and connection of electricity at the Maricicleia Maciel dos Santos Municipal Education School, opened in the dark due to a lack of compliance with measures on the part of the concessionaire, and at the community’s Basic Health Unit (UBS) of Bom Jesus.

The case was taken to the judge of the District of Tartarugalzinho, Haruo da Silva Tanaka, who appointed a judicial inspection for the 5th of this month, at 10 am, at the Maricleia Maciel school and at the UBS in the Bom Jesus community.

The parties must be present by their agents or attorneys and, if applicable, bring additional information or documents for the purpose of resolving differences regarding the energy connection in the buildings in question.

According to the judge, the issue of the regularity of the energy connection in the Basic Health Unit will be analyzed, as the municipality of Tartarugalzinho indicated that the parties had already settled extrajudicially.

In relation to the school, judge Haruo Tanaka determined that CEA Equatorial is obliged to carry out inspection and connection, in accordance with the resolution of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel), by the end of February 6, under penalty of a daily fine of R$ 1 thousand.

The municipality gathered documents indicating that it forwarded them to CEA. Regarding the connection at the school, technical approval had already been obtained, pending only the request for inspection and connection, which was confirmed by the municipality, which did so on January 17th.
