MP-AP and partner institutions train young people in Tartarugalzinho – News of Brazil

The partnership between the Public Ministry of Amapá (MP-AP), the Federation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism of Amapá (Fecomércio/AP), the National Service for Commercial Learning (Senac/AP) and the Tartarugalzinho City Hall resulted in the training of 37 young people from the municipality in the area of informatics. The delivery of certificates and closing of the Information Technology Assistant and Computer Operator courses took place on Wednesday (28), at the District Attorney’s Office.
The young people were welcomed by the MP-AP Attorney General, Paulo Celso Ramos; prosecutor Davi Zerbini; mayor of Tartarugalzinho, Bruno Mineiro; President of the City Council, councilor Felipe César; and the representatives of SENAC/AP, Obde Gadelha, director of Professional Education, and Carla Miranda, Pedagogical coordinator. The former mayor of the municipality, Altair Mineiro, also attended the event.
Offered through the Senac Free Program (PSG), the courses are taught at the Senac Mobile Computer and Management Truck by instructor Rodrigo Nunes. The objective is to offer technical training and insertion in the labor market for young people from all municipalities. In this edition, 40 vacancies were offered for two courses, in two groups, in two shifts. To participate, young people went through a selection process carried out by the MP-AP and SENAC/AP. The courses lasted three months.
Thiago Dias, 15 years old, spoke of the importance of these courses for starting out in the job market and assured that, from now on, he will seek more knowledge in the area and prepare himself to be a qualified professional. At the age of 23, Josimara Nunes said she was satisfied with the result of the training. “It’s the first time I’ve had the opportunity to take a computer course and learn how to use a computer. This knowledge will be the basis of the life I want to start from now on”.
Partnership for the internalization of actions
In 2016, the partnership between the MP-AP and Fecomércio began, through SENAC/AP and, with the positive results, the Technical Cooperation Term was renewed in 2021 and 2023. This is the first time that a City Hall enters into the partnership . In the last four years, computer courses have been held in Amapá, Pracuúba, Santana, Itaubal, Oiapoque and Cutias, training a total of 304 young people. In Macapá courses were offered in Baking, Manicure and Pedicure, Cleaning and Conservation and Combating Endemic Diseases, reaching a total of 100 young people. In Santana, the Hosting Receptionist course trained 25 young people.
Laranjal do Jari is the next municipality where the courses will be offered, still in the month of July. Director Obde Gadelha emphasized that the partnership with the MP-AP is successful and that the low dropout rate is the result of joint work and awareness among the apprentices. Bruno Mineiro stated that these young people will have more chances of entering the market because information technology is essential in any area. For promoter Davi Zerbini, this action in partnership formed an important integrated action network in search of social welfare.
“This moment is of great significance, as it started in the Community MP program and I was one of the encouragers for these services and opportunities to be taken to other municipalities, with lesser potential than Macapá. I am pleased to see that dropouts are minimal, thanks to the commitment of the institutions and the commitment of the students, who are thinking about the future. As someone born in the Lagos Region, I say that young people just need encouragement and the opportunity to evolve, and we are providing it”said PGJ Paulo Celso.
