Senator Sergio Moro (Podemos-PR) said this Monday (17) that the request by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to have access to the identification of former President Jair Bolsonaro’s (PL) followers on social networks is ” unjustifiable”. The Deputy Attorney General of the Republic, Carlos Frederico Santos, asked that digital platforms send a file with the “complete list with the names and identification data of the former president’s followers”.
“The diligence intended by the deputy attorney general, with the complete identification of all the millions of followers of Jair Bolsonaro on social networks, is unjustifiable, in addition to probably impracticable. It represents a violation of the privacy of millions of Brazilians. The MP should reconsider the required “, said the senator in the twitter. Moro served as Minister of Justice in the Bolsonaro government.
In addition to the list of followers, the PGR requested other information from the former president’s official accounts, such as the full posts related to the elections, electronic ballot boxes, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), STF, Armed Forces, in addition to photos and videos related to these themes. The PGR’s request was sent for analysis by the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes.
