Senator Sergio Moro (União Brasil-PR) used social media this Saturday (23) to respond to a statement by the Minister of Human Rights, Silvio Almeida, who suggested that “measures will be taken” against the former Lava operation judge -Jato due to his publication about the implementation of unisex bathrooms in the country.
“We have a Minister of Human Rights who remains silent when his boss Lula flatters Putin and Maduro, attacks the International Criminal Court and ignores the importance of women in the Federal Supreme Court. But he has time to threaten parliamentarians for criticizing the government”, wrote the senator on X, formerly of Twitter.
Silvio Almeida accused deputies Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) and Filipe Barros (PL-PR) of disseminating false information (fake news) by claiming that the federal government had authorized unisex bathrooms in schools across the country. The minister also mentioned publications made by Moro and former state deputy Arthur do Val (União Brasil-SP).
“Measures will also be taken against other spreaders of fake news, including an individual who has already had his mandate revoked for disrespecting women in a country in conflict, and another, a senator of the Republic who, when he was a judge, shamed the Judiciary” , added the minister.
On Friday (22), Sergio Moro declared that the Lula government imposed “unisex bathrooms in all public schools in the country”. The former judge was referring to a resolution by the National Council for the Rights of LGBTQIA+ People, a body linked to the Ministry of Human Rights, directed by Almeida.
