Moraes, Pacheco and HR minister are invited to event in NY – 04/15/2024 – Panel

Minister Alexandre de Moraes (Supreme Federal Court), the president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), and the governors of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL), and Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite (PSDB) , are among the guests at the 28th International Law Conference, which will take place on May 14 at Columbia University, in New York.
The day, which will honor Minister Silvio Almeida (Human Rights), will have the theme “Human Rights as a paradigm of Sustainability”. It will be the first edition of the conference abroad — the legal event has been taking place since 1996.
The schedule foresees that Pacheco and Almeida would participate in the closing conference, while Cláudio Castro would open the event. There will be panels on social, environmental sustainability and corporate governance. There are also plans for one on the G20 in Brazil, which will be held in November, and another on COP30, scheduled for 2025 in Belém (PA).
The governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho (MDB), was also invited to the event, as well as businesspeople and lawyers.
