Minister Alexandre de Moraes ordered the release of Bolsonarist youtuber Bismark Fugazza, from the Hypocrites channel, arrested in March for making attacks on President Lula and the STF (Federal Supreme Court).

Moraes granted provisional freedom to the influencer through the use of an electronic anklet. Fugazza will also not be able to leave the country and will have to appear in court every week.

The youtuber had his passport canceled and the documents that allowed him to carry a weapon were suspended. Among the precautionary measures determined by Moraes are still the ban on the use of social networks or communication with other investigated.

If Fugazza fails to comply with these measures, he will go back to prison, decided the STF minister.

Sought by UOL, the youtuber’s defense said that he “never financed or contributed” to the acts that destroyed the Praça dos Três Poderes on January 8.

In a note, the lawyers said that he trusts in Justice and remains “at his entire disposal to contribute to investigations into any acts that threaten Democracy, the rule of law and the Federal Supreme Court”.

Youtuber encouraged violence against Lula and the STF

When ordering Fugazza’s arrest, Moraes wrote that his behavior after the proclamation of last year’s election results was “extremely serious”.

For the minister, the conduct could even endanger the life of the then president-elect.

Fugazza’s arrest was decreed on December 13, but he fled to Paraguay. The youtuber ended up being located by the Paraguayan police in Asunción, the country’s capital, and handed him over to the Federal Police at the border, in Foz do Iguaçu (PR).
