Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (30), determined this Tuesday (9) that the Federal Police carry out an investigation of all the images that show the invasion of the Planalto Palace on January 8, in which civil agents and Military personnel from the Institutional Security Office (GSI) appear among the invading demonstrators.

According to the minister, the expertise must be carried out within 30 days for a report to be delivered to be added to the investigations. “Forwarding the external HD […] to the Federal Police, for the extraction of the images, preserving the chain of custody and carrying out the technical expertise, within 30 (thirty) days”, wrote the magistrate (see in full).

The investigation was determined after the GSI sent the images of the invasion to the STF, which were classified and leaked to the press last month. The recordings led to the resignation of the then Minister Gonçalves Dias, the dismissal of 87 public servants and the appointment of General Marcos Antonio Amaro dos Santos to head the body linked to the Presidency.
