The Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger made official this Wednesday (10), in the Official Gazette, the creation of a working group that will review the rules that define which families are eligible to receive benefits from social programs from the federal government, such as Bolsa Família, among others (see full text).

According to the ministry, the group will have to propose new criteria for directing the benefits granted and suggest mechanisms for “improving processes” and for monitoring, inspecting and controlling the beneficiaries served by the programs.

The group will also have to do a better analysis of data and information received from other bodies to improve the Single Registry system, which is used to define which families can access social programs, and suggest new goals to the units involved.

According to the ministry, the group will have 60 days to present the new rules and adjustment and improvement measures for access and inspection of social programs.
