Manaus (AM) – The Military Police Colleges (CMPM) held, on the morning of this Friday (02), the closing ceremony of ‘Week Zero 2024’. The event symbolizes the completion of the military adaptation period for new students at the teaching units.

The director of CMPM VII – Escola Estadual Professora Eliana de Freitas Morais, Major Maressa Santos, explains that in Week Zero the new students learned about the school routine, school manual, regulations, military hymnal, unity order, social rules, among others. guidelines, which are passed on over a week.

“During this period, they are taught how they (students) should behave with their colleagues who are already part of the system. We also had instructions on mental health and personal hygiene. All of this is seen in Week Zero”,

explained Major Maressa Santos.

The major also highlights the importance of parental support in students’ school lives, as this support is essential and contributes positively to their children’s development in the learning process.

“It is important that parents understand that it is a joint effort. The school teaches civic values ​​and curricular subjects. Education comes from home. So it is very important for the father to follow the entire school routine, so that we can do excellent work”,

highlighted the director.

New Students

At CMPM VII, located in the Lago Azul neighborhood, north of Manaus, 260 new students from the 2nd year of elementary school to the 3rd year of high school, participated in the event, which was attended by the school’s teaching staff and parents or guardians.

Eliangela Salomão, mother of Yasmin Monteiro, a new 1st year high school student, speaks with pride about her daughter joining the Military Police College and the relevance of the teaching unit.

“It is an honor to have my daughter participate in the student body of this excellent institution, which is the dream of many parents to have their children study at this educational unit. I feel privileged and I believe that my support, as a mother, is very important, so that in the future my daughter can contribute positively to us having a better society”,

he said.
