“Meu Amor” is chosen as the best song at the Itacoatiara Song Festival

Itacoatiara (AM) – The 38th Itacoatiara Song Festival (Fecani), in the interior of Amazonas, chose “Meu Amor” as the Best Song of 2023. With a prize of R$ 16 thousand for the winner, the announcement was made in the early hours of the morning this Sunday (10). Written by Sidney Rezende, the song was performed by singer Luanita Rangel.

“The song is one of the most complex I’ve heard, in the best of ways. Sidney has this sensitivity with his music and being able to perform a song by this great cultural supporter, a great arranger and singer, is an honor and an immense responsibility. I’m super happy with the result,”

highlighted Luanita Rangel.

With the support of the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, 34 new songs competed in the festival, held from the 6th to the 9th of September. Of these, 14 passed to the final stage of the competition, held this Saturday (09/09), on the main stage of the Juracema Holanda Events Center, in Itacoatiara (276 kilometers from Manaus).

The result was announced after the show by singer Neguinho da Beija-Flor. In addition to best song, “Meu Amor” also won the award for Best Performer and Best Arrangement. The award for Best Lyrics went to “Esmeralda em Bossa”, by composer Guilherme Rocha and performed by Milena Rocha.

Written by I. P Wanzeler and performed by Ianeza Portela, the song “O Segredo de Navegar” guaranteed R$ 12 thousand with the 2nd place prize for Best Song. In 3rd place, the judges chose “Musa Música”, by Gilberto de Souza Valente and performed by Carolina Bertoline, who also took away R$8,000 in prize money.

In total, there were more than R$46 thousand in prizes, divided between 5th and 1st place. Check out the final results of the music contest:

  • 5th Place: “Teu Lá Fora”, composed by Ludi Souza and Rubem Menezes (Prize of R$ 2 thousand)
  • Song Best Performer: “Meu Amor” (R$ 1,300)
  • Best Fan Song: “Cadê Meu Rio” (R$ 1,300)
  • Best Arranged Song: “Meu Amor” (R$ 1,300)
  • Best Song Lyrics: Esmeralda em Bossa” (R$ 1,300)

Itacantando

One of the most anticipated competitions, Itacantando, aimed at singers, composers and performers from Itacoatiara, awarded “Esmeralda em Bossa” as the Best Song. Composed by Guilherme Rocha, the song was performed by Milena Rocha.

Fecani Kids

Aimed at encouraging the participation of children and teenagers, Fecani Kids awarded “Wave” with 1st place. The song was performed by Maria Eduarda de Almeida.

In 2nd place, the song “Ele Vem”, performed by Benjamin da Silva, was chosen. In 3rd place, the judges chose the song “Dez Corações”, performed by Amanda Amada.

Beauty Festival

To promote the beauty of Itacoatiar, the event chose the young Naely Cristiny, aged 16, as Musa Fecani 2023. In 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, were Vitória Pedrosa and Alana Eduarda, who are also 16 years old. The competition was coordinated by Carol Mesquita.

In the male category of the contest, Márcio Cavalcante, aged 15, was elected Mister Fecani 2023. In 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, were Deiveson Alencar, aged 17, and Ícaro Amaro, aged 16. The competition was organized by Gustavo Barreto.

In the Musa Gay Fecani 2023 category, the big winner was Ariel Matsunaga, 19 years old. In 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, were Anthonela Medeiros, aged 17, and Mandy Oliver, aged 28.

Fecani

Considered “Intangible Cultural Heritage of the State of Amazonas”, according to Law 3,983, of December 30, 2013, Fecani is carried out by Airma (Association of Itacoatiarenses Residents in Manaus).

The event features 100 musical attractions, 96 regional and 4 national. This year, the 38th edition of Fecani adopted water as its theme, with graffiti art on the Juracema Holanda stage, by artists Téo Braga and Nelson Freire.

“Water is considered the oil of the future. Without it, we cannot live and we have to take care of this, prepare the future for new generations, preserving water sources and nature”,

said Edgar Alecrim, responsible for Fecani’s art.
