Latin American right-wing leaders will hold an event in Buenos Aires this week with the aim of creating an alternative to the Foro de São Paulo, which brings together leftist parties.
The 1st Pan-American Forum of Young Politicians, which will take place between June 1 and 3 in the Argentine capital, has been called the Forum of Buenos Aires on social networks.
The motto of the event is “for a free, safe and prosperous America”, with panels on geopolitics, culture wars and fake news.
The Brazilian delegation should be composed, among others, by the Santa Catarina state deputy Ana Campagnolo (PL), known for being an anti-feminist militant, by the deputy secretary of Social Development of the state of São Paulo, Filipe Sabará, and by the senator Carlos Portinho (PL- RJ).
There will be representatives of right-wing movements and parties from 14 countries, including some from other regions: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, USA, Honduras, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
