Four days late, the Ministry of Education (MEC) released this Saturday (2) the list of pre-selected candidates in the second call for the scholarship offer for the 2024 edition of the University for All Program (Prouni). on the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education.

With the delay in publishing the second call, which was scheduled for last Tuesday (27), there was also a change in the deadline for submitting documentation for the pre-selected candidate, which runs until March 12. The presentation can be made in person at the educational institution or electronically.

If the candidate is not selected in both calls, they can express interest on the waiting list on March 18th and 19th. The waiting list is scheduled to be announced on March 22nd.

According to the MEC, the first edition of 2024 of Prouni received registrations from 716,759 people. 406,428 scholarships will be offered in this edition, 308,977 of which are full and 97,451 partial in 15,482 courses from 1,028 institutions.

The MEC did not disclose the reason for the delay, only informing this Friday (1) that the technical teams from the Subsecretariat of Information and Communication Technology and the Secretariat of Higher Education were working to publish the results of the second Prouni call “as soon as possible.” as quickly as possible.”

Program

The University for All Program was created in 2004 to offer scholarships (full and partial) for undergraduate and sequential specific training courses at private colleges.

The selection is carried out twice a year and its target audience is students without a higher education degree. As criteria for selecting candidates, Prouni considers monthly gross family income, per person; if the candidate completed high school in a public school or as a full scholarship holder in a private high school institution, or is a person with a disability, among others provided for in the legislation.
