With the affiliation of the mayor of Belo Horizonte, Gabriel Azevedo, the MDB has pre-candidates for mayors in four of the five largest capitals in the country.
The party plans to have names competing in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador — in the top 5, the exception is Fortaleza. In addition to these cities, the MDB will have candidates in other capitals, such as Rio Branco (AC), Porto Alegre (RS) and Boa Vista (RR).
