Mauro Cid reports pressure from the PF for denunciation and criticizes Moraes in audios

Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, former aide-de-camp to Jair Bolsonaro (PL), stated that the Federal Police have a “ready narrative” in the investigations against the former president. The audios attributed to Cid were released this Thursday (21) by the magazine Look. The military officer said investigators “didn’t want to know the truth.”

In the recordings, he also criticizes Federal Supreme Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of investigations involving him and Bolsonaro, such as the alleged coup attempt, the sale of jewelry from the presidential collection and the falsification of Covid vaccine records. -19.

“They already have the narrative ready. They didn’t want to know the truth, they just wanted me to confirm his narrative. That’s what they wanted, and every time they said ‘look, your collaboration is really good’. He even said, ‘vaccine, for example, you will be indicted for nine attempts to falsify a vaccine, you will be indicted for criminal association’, and one more term there. He said: ‘Just this joke will cost you thirty years”, reported the lieutenant colonel.

According to Lookthe audios were recorded last week after Cid gave a statement to the PF on the 11th. The soldier was arrested in May last year during Operation Venire, which investigated alleged fraud in vaccination cards. He was released in September, after reaching a plea agreement, approved by Moraes.

Cid’s collaboration was used by the PF to support arrest and search and seizure warrants in the Operation Tempus Veritatis, which investigates an alleged coup plot. Furthermore, the former adjutant’s reports were considered in the PF’s decision to indict Bolsonaro and 16 other people in the vaccine certificates case.

In the most recent testimony, Cid would have detailed meetings in which Bolsonaro allegedly pressured former commanders of the Armed Forces to participate in a coup d’état. In the audios released by LookCid stated that Moraes already has the “sentence ready” and is just waiting for the right moment to arrest “everyone”.

“Alexandre de Moraes is the law. He holds it, he lets it go, whenever he wants, however he wants. With Public Prosecutor’s Office, without Public Prosecutor’s Office, with accusation, without accusation”, he said. During the conversation with an interlocutor, the soldier reported his dissatisfaction with the developments in the investigations.

He also pointed out that, if he doesn’t cooperate, he will “get thirty, forty years”, as he is the target of several investigations. “Everyone will be involved in everything. Theoretically, how many will catch the tallest ones?”, he asked.
