The federal deputy Dorinaldo Malafaia (PDT-AP), together with the governor Clécio Luís and the government leader, senator Randolfe Rodrigues, received, this Thursday, 21st, confirmation of the sending of doses of the dengue vaccine to Amapá.

In addition, support for the Out-of-Home Treatment program (TFD) of the State was guaranteed by the Ministry of Health (MS).

The request occurred amid the MS’s announcement of redistribution of vaccine doses from municipalities where demand for vaccines was low. The ministry decided to take doses of vaccines that are not being used to municipalities in the same states where they are currently located.

However, Malafaia made another proposal, together with the government of Amapá. The parliamentarian argued that the GEA declared a health emergency in municipalities with the highest incidence of dengue cases, such as Oiapoque and Tartarugalzinho, and that is why they are ready and need to receive the vaccines.

This afternoon, in a meeting with the minister Nísia Trindade guaranteed the shipment of doses.

“Minister, I would also like to always thank you for your welcome to the state of Amapá, the governor, the government team. (…) And also the announcement, of this reconfiguration of vaccines in relation to dengue – which is not yet for the entire population –, the minister has already committed to having a quota for Amapá”declared Dorinaldo, in the presence of the minister.

Over the TFD, the parliamentarian also thanked: “I wanted to reinforce a ‘little thing’ here that we discussed that is very important for the people of Amapá, which is Out-of-Home Treatment. The TFD was also received here by the Ministry of Health in order for us to obtain national accreditation. This is fundamental for us. We have a huge queue of people who need to be treated outside the state”argued the parliamentarian.
