Former mayor Marta Suplicy had lunch this Sunday (28) at the home of Guilherme Boulos (PSOL), whose running mate will run for Mayor of São Paulo in this year’s election.
Marta was accompanied by her husband, Márcio Toledo. Also present were Boulos’ wife, Natalia Szermeta, and the PSOL pre-campaign coordinator, Josué Rocha.
The former mayor arrived at Boulos’ house, in Campo Limpo (south zone), at 1:30 pm and left at 6 pm. According to those present, the conversation was pleasant and the menu included lamb, prepared by the deputy himself, and Lebanese side dishes, such as tabbouleh.
Boulos and Marta had already been together at lunch at the former mayor’s apartment, in Jardins, an upscale neighborhood in the capital. The meeting, on the 13th, sealed the alliance for the municipal election.
Marta’s return to the PT, the party with which she had broken in 2015, is scheduled for Friday (2). The former mayor decided to respond to a request from President Lula (PT) for her to return to the party and run as deputy of Boulos.
She, who was Secretary of International Relations under the Ricardo Nunes (MDB) administration, Boulos’ main opponent in the municipal race, ended up leaving city hall on the 9th.
