In a live broadcast held on Sunday night (28), former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his sons Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) and Carlos Bolsonaro (Republicans) announced the creation of a training platform for candidates, local leaders and supporters who wish to participate in the municipal elections in October this year.

In the broadcast, which reached over 440 thousand simultaneous viewers on two different YouTube channels, the former president highlighted to his audience the importance of electing councilors aligned with their values. “The councilor is an extremely important person in the municipalities”, said the former representative.

Flávio listed ten themes that he said he considered important for voters to choose their candidates:

  • Respect for the Constitution;
  • Defense of family values;
  • Life from conception;
  • Freedom of expression;
  • Defense of private property;
  • Legitimate right to defense;
  • Reduction of the tax burden;
  • Economic freedom;
  • Defense of agroindustry; It is
  • Fight against drugs.

According to the promotional material, the training is aimed at those who want “to be elected in 2024, even without having financial resources; achieve success on social media and impact people; work behind the scenes; be a local leader and influence people; learn to undo the lies of the left; and open the eyes of the people around you.”

“For those who are thinking about being a candidate this year, or even in the future, and don’t have many resources, there will be a specific module for this entire electoral process, because this is often where the candidate gets confused”, explained Eduardo.

Entitled Conservative Action, the initiative also includes access to a “community of conservatives” to exchange experience, training in politics and a conversation with Eduardo and Carlos via videoconference.

The live was recorded in Angra dos Reis (RJ), where the family participated in the launch of Renato Araújo (PL)’s pre-candidacy for mayor.

Among other issues, the former Chief Executive recalled actions carried out during his government, such as reducing taxes, facilitating the ownership and carrying of weapons and the delivery of property titles to landless families.

He also refuted accusations circulating on social media that he was linked to the murder of Rio de Janeiro councilwoman, Marielle Franco. Other issues addressed critically were the dictatorial regimes in Venezuela and Nicaragua, the operation carried out against federal deputy Alexandre Ramagem (PL-RJ) and suspicions about the existence of a “parallel Abin”.

“Why was I interested in knowing if Mr. Gilmar Mendes was meeting with Ciro? [Nogueira]?”, he asked, referring to statements by the former president of the Chamber of Deputies, Rodrigo Maia, that he suspected he was being spied on.

At the beginning of the broadcast, the former president also mentioned Venezuela’s voting system, where the electronic ballot box prints proof of the vote. “In this plebiscite that we saw a few weeks ago, which was initiated by the president [Nicolás] Maduro had his vote printed next to the electronic ballot box. […] And he took that vote, when he went to the ballot box, he said ‘look, here the vote is electronic, but it also has paper, unlike in other countries’”, said Bolsonaro.
