Manaus (AM) – The Marketing Director of Fortaleza Sport Clube, Marcel Pinheiro, will be at Faculdade Santa Teresa (FST), this Tuesday (26). Considered one of the main names in this area of activity in the country, he will give the lecture “Sports Marketing: what your brand can learn from Fortaleza Sport Clube”. The event is free and takes place at the FST headquarters, on Rua Acre, 200, Nossa Senhora das Graças neighborhood, from 7pm.
In the lecture, Marcel Pinheiro will present some Marketing and Management strategies that have been applied by Fortaleza over the last few years, and which have contributed to the team’s good results. He highlights that, despite the central subject being football, most of the actions carried out by the club can be replicated by companies in all segments.
“We will highlight the importance of professionalizing sectors, monitoring results, among other initiatives that make a business successful. The lecture is valid for Advertising and Marketing students and professionals, as well as for entrepreneurs, business administrators and all enthusiasts in the segment”,

According to Marcel Pinheiro, Fortaleza’s turning point began in 2017, when they decided to professionalize the club’s management. Before, he says, everything was done amateurishly, as happens in many clubs.
“The board, for example, worked on a voluntary basis, therefore, results could not be demanded. The point is that you can only charge when there is planning, goals and the right tools in the hands of qualified professionals. Fortaleza’s highlight came after this understanding. This goes for football teams or any company”,

Among the changes applied by Fortaleza, he cites the creation of a commercial sector with experienced professionals, an internal Advertising agency that takes care of all the Marketing and Advertising aspects of the team, a performance analysis area, with statistical studies that serve basis for the technician’s strategies, in addition to monthly monitoring of the results of all segments.

Marcel Pinheiro has a master’s degree in Communication and Sociocultural Problems from the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC), in Madrid, Spain, and a degree in Administration from the State University of Ceará (UECE). He is a partner and creative director at Timoneiro Marketing and Marketing director at Fortaleza Sport Clube.
