Marcos do Val takes leave of office and will be replaced at the CPMI on January 8

Senator Marcos do Val (Podemos-ES) took a leave of absence this Wednesday (21) from parliamentary activity. With that, he will be replaced by Senator Marcos Rogério (PL-RO) in the CPMI that investigates the acts of January 8.
Earlier, Marcos do Val’s press office released a note informing that the parliamentarian requested leave from the Senate for medical advice, without specifying the duration of the leave.
On Monday (19), Marcos do Val spoke in plenary and presented his defense in relation to the accusations made in the Federal Police investigation, reported Agência Senado. The parliamentarian was searched and apprehended by the PF. The reason would be alleged obstruction of the investigation into the acts of January 8.

“On the night of Tuesday, June 20, Senator Marcos do Val felt unwell in his office and was attended to by the medical service of the Federal Senate. parliamentary activities and take care of his health.As long as the senator is on leave, his office will remain open and functioning normally.
His combative role in the CPMI of the acts of January 8 will not be compromised either, since the condition established by Senator Marcos do Val to leave was to be replaced as holder by the illustrious Senator Marcos Rogério (PL-RO), who, even though he was not of his party, which holds the vacancy in the CPMI, is known for defending conservative ideals and Brazil. Senator Marcos do Val has no doubts that the actions of Senator Marcos Rogério will continue the hard work he carried out so that the CPMI was finally installed.
Senator Marcos do Val will seek to restore his health as soon as possible, and then return to his parliamentary activities with renewed spirit and combativeness”.
