Robot from the Amazon, which had already fallen in the quarterfinals of the Barezão 2024 round to São Raimundo, now says goodbye to the national competition in the first phase

Manaus (AM) – Manauara fell in the first phase of the Copa do Brasil. This Wednesday (21), Robô da Amazônia lost 2-1 to Retrô-PE, at the Carlos Zamith stadium, in the East Zone of the capital of Amazonas, and said goodbye to the knockout competition in their debut in the tournament.

Sacramento was the one who opened the scoring for the Amazon team, with a penalty, in the 31st minute of the match. Retrô-PE started the turnaround with Mascote, who left everything the same 13 minutes later, and took the lead with Giva, at 16 minutes into the second half.

To advance, Manauara needed victory, due to the regulations that provide for the advantage of a draw for the visitor, better placed in the National Club Ranking (RNC) of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), in the first phase of the Copa do Brasil.

The goals

The first goal of the match was scored by Manauara. Michel Paulista received a deep pass and was brought down by the goalkeeper of the Pernambuco team. In the penalty kick, Sacramento took a good shot and left the Robot ahead.

The equalizer came from the top, with a header from Franklin Mascote. After exchanging passes on the left, Edson Lucas found a beautiful cross for the attacker to rise higher than the defense and fill goalkeeper Jonathan’s net.

The turning point came in the second half and in a very insistent move. Radsley had a shot blocked by the defender and then by goalkeeper Jonathan. In the end, Giva appeared to complete and seal Retrô-PE’s victory.
