Manauara is eliminated from the Copa Verde by Tocantinópolis, who face Manaus FC in the next phase

Robô da Amazônia was beaten by Tocantinópolis-TO 2-1 and said goodbye to the competition in the first phase.

In their historic debut in the Copa Verde, Manauara lost to Tocantinópolis-TO 2-1, on Wednesday night (28), at Estádio João Ribeiro, and ended up eliminated from the competition. Everson Bilal and Igor scored for the home team and Jonathan Moc found the net for Robô da Amazônia.

Classified, Tocantinópolis will now face Manaus. The second phase will also be a single game, led by Gavião do Norte, on March 6th or 13th. Details will be released soon by the CBF.

For the State Championship, Manauara returns to the field next Sunday (3), at 4pm, at the Carlos Zamith Stadium, against Princesa do Solimões, in a duel valid for the first round of the second round.

The game

Even away from home, Manauara was the first to scare. Still in the second minute of the game, Gama fought for the ball on the left and finished for the goal, but goalkeeper Anderson Luiz fell to make the save. However, the response from Tocantinópolis was fatal. In the 37th minute, goalkeeper Anderson Luiz prevented Manauara from equalizing. Vitinho took a corner kick in the area and Guilherme Moller headed it towards the goal, but the Tocantins team’s archer went for it.

Second time

After the break, Tocantinópolis got scared in the second minute of the game, when Rômulo Carioca took a free kick to Jonathan’s right post. At 25 minutes, Manauara went in search of a draw. After a cross from the right, the defense cleared it and Jonathan Moc made the first attempt to score a beautiful goal and leave everything even at Ribeirão.

And when the match was heading towards a draw and a penalty shootout, Tocantinópolis went in search of victory. In the 49th minute, after a cross from the right, the ball was live in the area, the defense didn’t move it away and Higor took the opportunity to send it to Jonathan’s corner and put the score at 2-1. And there was still time for the Robot goalkeeper to avoid the third goal. Elifran finished from inside the area and Jonathan went to get it.
