Tired of looking after the language, Natasha was happy with good news. Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, president of the STF and the National Council of Justice, announced a National Judiciary Pact for Simple Language.

The Barroso Pact asks for little, only that magistrates explain “whenever possible, the impact of the decision or judgment on the citizen’s life”. It also asks that “excessive formalities” be dispensed with.

It would be too much to ask that Supreme Court ministers stop calling themselves “excellence”. This formality, beyond excessive, contaminates the entire structure of the Judiciary.

Last November, a labor judge from Santa Catarina decided to intimidate a witness, framing him: “I caught your attention. You have to respond like this: what do you want, Your Excellency?”

“Am I obligated to do this?” asked the witness.

“You don’t have to, but if you don’t do this, your statement ends here and will be completely disregarded.”

Exposed, the doctor asked for medical leave.

Natasha takes the opportunity to award one of her scholarships to the 360 ​​employees at the Treasury Department who are complaining about the decision to force them to come to work once a week.

They signed a letter saying that “the economy of the current model has been repeatedly attested and has been guiding the modernization of the organization.”

Natasha pretends she doesn’t know one detail. Many signatories do not want to go to their workplace even once a week because they have already moved away from Brasília.

She believes that since Adão’s expulsion from Paradise, absence from the workplace has never been defended with so much creativity. If they do this with the language, the Treasury beware.
