Lula claims that agribusiness has an ‘ideological problem’ with his government – 06/15/2023 – Politics

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said this Thursday (15th) that the agribusiness problem with his administration is “ideological” and not linked to economic issues.
“I realize what we’ve done [para o agronegócio]. Their problem with us is ideological, it is not a problem of too much money in the Safra plan. I don’t care if the rural producer likes me or not,” said the president.
Lula gave an interview to radio stations in Goiás this Thursday morning (15). The representative travels the next day to that state, where he inaugurates a ring road in Jataí (GO) and a section of the North-South railroad, in Rio Verde (GO).
The president was asked about his relationship with agribusiness, a sector that was closely associated with his predecessor, Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
“I’m not worried about what so-and-so thinks of me. I’m worried that if people are honest with me, they have to say it loud and clear: never before in the history of this country has agriculture been treated as well as in the Lula government,” he said. .
