Lula asked Múcio not to go to an event with Doria – 06/03/2023 – Panel

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) asked Defense Minister José Múcio not to participate in an event by Lide, a group created by former Toucan governor João Doria, in São Paulo, on May 22nd.
Múcio went to the president to inform him that he would participate, when he heard the request not to do so. The minister then explained that he had already committed himself and that his name had been announced by the organization and ended up going. Flávio Dino (Justice) also attended the event.
Lula even joked with the minister after his participation, when he met him again. When she saw him, she said to those present: “look at Doria’s poster boy”.
The presence of the two ministers caused discomfort among PT supporters, who highlighted the fact that events like Lide are sponsored by companies.
The heavy criticisms that the former governor made of Lula were also not forgotten. On one occasion, he even said that he would take chocolate to the PT in jail. Sought after, Múcio and Planalto did not manifest themselves.
