How do they arrive
O Fluminense comes from a victory against São Paulo, in the delayed match of the 32nd round, last Wednesday (22). With the victory, Tricolor from Rio became the best home team in the Brasileirão. Before, Flu had drawn with Flamengo and Internacional. With the victory, the team is in eighth place, with 50 points. In the match against São Paulo, full-back Samuel Xavier was injured and is expected to be absent from the team on Saturday. Fernando Diniz’s team plays the last rounds of the championship with an eye on the World Cup, which starts on December 12th. Flu’s first match is on the 22nd.
O Coritiba remains in second place in the Brasileirão, with 29 points, already practically relegated. With the results of Cruzeiro’s two delayed matches, plus the victory over Fortaleza, in the 30th round, and the draw with Vasco, in the 33rd round, Alviverde is 12 points away from leaving the relegation zone. If they lose to Fluminense, they will go to the second division for the seventh time in history. If they win or draw, they could still fall, depending on the result of the Vasco and Cruzeiro games. On Friday (24), Coritiba reported that goalkeeper Gabriel did not travel with the team due to low back pain; Luan Polli and Pedro Morisco were related.
