That the song “Zona de danger”, by Leo Santana, is a success, no one can deny it. It’s practically impossible to get on social media without coming across at least one video of someone dancing “come sliding (go), I’m enjoying it (come)”. Countless celebrities have already made posts dancing to the sound of these verses. The song is also at the top of Spotify Brasil’s most listened ranking and is already considered as the hit of this year’s carnival. Despite always believing in his releases, the singer, however, did not expect that “Danger Zone” would take on this proportion. In fact, he was even charging for another hit.

— I was working on the song “Não se vai”, with my friend Pedro Sampaio, to be the hit of the carnival. “Danger Zone” would be just another single. But when I started singing at the shows, I felt that her response was being very good – says the 34-year-old singer, who, after noticing the public’s reception, recorded a video dancing and posted it on the networks: – And boom! Suddenly, music exploded and won over Brazil. Then I had no choice but to bet on it to be my carnival song.

For Léo Santana, the success of the hit is totally linked to the little dance that went viral on the internet:

— Brazilians have always liked songs with choreography, and this has always been one of my characteristics, since “Rebolation”. The easy choreography of “Zona Danger” undoubtedly helped the song grow a lot, but I think the determining factor is its rhythm, which is very nice, and the lyrics are easy. She really doesn’t get out of her head!

And it doesn’t come out. As a joke, fans on the web even started a movement to ask the singer for help to forget the hit. “Léo Santana, do something” became a joke to talk about how much the novelty became a bubblegum. But it’s not just fans who have this problem. The singer is already dreaming about music.

— I listen to it several times a day, as I watch all the videos where I’m tagged. From so much listening and singing at shows, I even dream about her – says the artist.

The choreography was created by dancer and choreographer Edilene Alves, responsible for the singer’s performances for years. But everything is done with his finger in the process.

— I always participate, give my opinion, change some things… It’s teamwork and it’s working out — he explains.

In addition to Edilene, Léo Santana attributes the success of his dances to his wife, Lore Improta, who always posts choreographies on her social networks. The two are parents of little Liz, 1 year and 4 months old. On the 22nd of last month, Liz saw her father on stage for the first time, and Lore recorded the moment in a video posted on her Instagram.

One week before Carnival, the artist says he wants to release a clip for the song, but he hasn’t had time to record it yet due to his busy schedule. The singer will perform 16 shows at Carnival and will be with his block in Salvador during the six days of revelry. In addition to Bahia, he will also be present in boxes in Minas, Rio and São Paulo.
