The proposal that gave rise to the Parliamentary Front in Defense of Sport, Culture and Leisure was presented by deputy Pastor Oliveira (Republicans) and signed by several parliamentarians and approved at the 4th itinerant session of the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap), held on the last 28th of June, in the municipality of Laranjal do Jari.
The resolution creating the Parliamentary Front will be supra-party in nature. The objective is to strengthen these areas and recognize their value as a fundamental pillar for the human, social, economic and cultural development of the State. ”Sport, culture and leisure are essential elements for promoting the physical and mental health of the population. Regular sports practice contributes to disease prevention, strengthening the immune system, improving cardiovascular condition and reducing stress. Likewise, culture and leisure provide moments of relaxation, creative expression and emotional well-being”justifies deputy author Pastor Oliveira, adding that it will be a parliamentary front dedicated to these areas and that it will contribute to building a more egalitarian and fair society. “Such areas have significant economic potential, generate direct and indirect jobs, boost tourism, stimulate creative entrepreneurship and promote the development of sectors such as entertainment, cultural tourism, high-performance sports and the creative industry”highlights the deputy.
According to the justification, culture is a fundamental element for the construction of the identity of a people. By valuing and promoting cultural diversity, one is contributing to artistic development, strengthening local cultural expressions, preserving cultural heritage and stimulating artistic and cultural production.
Still in the text of the justification, through dialogue between parliamentarians, specialists, civil society and public managers, it is possible to identify challenges, propose solutions, elaborate laws and direct resources for the development of sport, culture and leisure. ”An active parliamentary front will be able to guarantee the implementation of adequate policies, the monitoring of their execution and the evaluation of the results achieved. We can thus strengthen these areas”.
The Parliamentary Front will be valid for two years or until its objective is reached, which may be extended for an equal period and will be composed of five parliamentarians, one general coordinator, one vice coordinator and three members. The function of general coordinator will be performed by deputy Pastor Oliveira.
