The Amapá fighter, from the Congós neighborhood, Juscelino Pantoja, faced and beat the carioca Clécio Gomes da Silva, ‘Chará’, at Shooto 121, the biggest MMA event in Brazil, last Saturday, 29th, in Rio de Janeiro. The clash took place in the flyweight category.

The decision came after a split decision by the referees, which declared the Tucuju fighter the winner. “Thank you team, thank you everyone. The victory was ours! In everything, give thanks to the Lord our God.”thanked Juscelino Pantoja, on social media, after the achievement.

This was Juscelino’s fifth victory at Shooto Brasil. To date, his career has only had one defeat, against the Peruvian José Ochoa, at Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA), in November last year.

Juscelino became better known after his last fight for the organization, in March last year, when he defeated, in less than two minutes of the first round, the Rio native Lincoln Santos.
